Geno Auriemma is the coach of the University of Connecticut’s women’s basketball team. Since his arrival in 1985, the UConn women’s basketball team has won 47 regular season and tournament titles, advanced to 19 Final Fours, posted six perfect seasons and won 11 national championships.

But, his team was behind in the first 4 minutes and 26 seconds of the game so he pulled all of his starters from the game.  Now they weren’t behind 20 to 2 or some score like that they were behind 6 to 4.

He said his team had been lethargic and largely unproductive to that point.  So he replaced them. He said they did not show up prepared and engaged.

“We got taken out because we didn’t look like we needed or wanted to be on that court. He made that clear to us,” said Samuelson.

How does that relate to Internet Marketing?

Let me ask you, how often are we just going through the motions, playing at our online business. We are unproductive and not making the kind of money we could.

How many of us don’t act like we want a successful online business?  We buy product after product instead of concentrating on how we can build our existing business.

Too often, we can’t let the newest product take our attention away from our ultimate goal. Time after time, we try something new hoping it will work.  We forget the fundamentals.

Or, we  get caught up in life and pretend we want a successful internet business but can’t find the time for it. Other things get in the way.

We get to the point where we just go through the motions and don’t act like we want to make money online with internet marketing.

I’ve gone through the motions before.  I would buy product after product spreading myself too thin.  I would sit at the computer and wonder what I should do next.  Except, there is no one to take me out of the game except myself. And we don’t take ourselves out at 6 to 4, we wait until it is almost impossible to recover like 100 to 20 or some such score

Develop a Champion’s Mindset

Now is the time to decide to succeed at making money online.  Then take action. Champions do whatever it takes to succeed even if they go against the norm.

Model a Success

The easiest and best way to achieve success is to model someone who has done it.  Do what they are doing and you will succeed.  My mentor is a success at internet marketing.  To learn about him go to his webinar and listen to his advice.

Whatever you want in life, someone has already discovered how to get it or do it – and you need to know what they are doing.  This helps you avoid mistakes and gets you there a lot faster.
